Dan is a Geneva native, a graduate of DeSales High School and Bowling Green State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bowling Green where he was a business administration major with a concentration in Insurance. He also did postgraduate study at The College of Insurance in New York City and at the School for Mutual Insurance Agents located at Oberlin College. He is a United States Air Force veteran.
Dan holds both agent and broker licenses for Property & Casualty and also has a Life license in New York State. He also holds Property & Casualty licenses in Pennsylvania and Florida. He works with both commercial and personal lines clients.
Dan is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Geneva. He is a past president of the Geneva United Way and directed the annual fund raising campaign. He has served on several local boards including Geneva Scholarships, The Geneva Family YMCA and The Geneva Theatre Guild. He is a member of the American Legion and Geneva Lodge 2397, Order Sons of Italy in America.
He has won several Theatre Association of New York acting awards for his work with the Geneva Theatre Guild and sings with the Hobart & William Smith community chorus.
Dan and his wife, the former Paula Smolski, a teacher in the Seneca Falls School District, are the parents of three grown children and grandparents of three.
